Kate had fallen off the rails since she spilt from her boyfriend and w

Kate had fallen off the rails since she spilt from her boyfriend and whilst her friends, Sadie and Meg, had tried to be understanding to start with, their patience had grown thin now. Whilst they understood it was hard for her after her break up with Craig, she was acting like she had no responsibilities. They felt she needed to straighten out her life again. Sadie and Meg, had put together a plan for her which involved no alcohol, no cigarettes, a diet and most importantly, at least in their opinion, a speed dating night.
When they suggested the speed dating night, they were surprised with her reaction. They were both expecting her to point blank refuse to go to the speed dating night but she accepted it. Kate even said she knew how bad she had acted since the split. If speed dating would help sort her life out, then it was worth a go. It was only £20, a bargain when she thought about it. The girls planned to make it a fun night out regardless of the people they would meet or if a match was made.
The speed dating night arrived and as the girls walked downstairs to where the event was held, she saw a gorgeous man waiting nervously at the top of the stairs. She hoped he would be at the event and looked forward to the night ahead. At the beginning of each "date", however, Kate would say " I'd be lying if I said I did not want a relationship, I do. But, I'm not just about to jump into one. I'm just interested in meeting someone for a fun date. We can see where we go from there." Sadie and Meg did not want to say anything but they thought it was putting off most of the men. Things changed when she met the man from before, who it turns out was named Matt. As she moved her hand to touch his and he didn't flinch. She was even more positive about him. After their three wonderful minutes together, she kept her fingers crossed that he would feel the same about her as she did him and they would both tick each other.
They both had made a match and two weeks later met for dinner, six weeks later moved in and then he proposed. Matt was obviously a very passionate man.
