It had been a month since I had broken up with my beloved girlfriend, Souzia. I was desperate. I remembered the way she would rush up to kiss me when I came home from work, squealing with delight. I wished we had never broken up. Although I knew I would probably never again meet someone as special as Souzia, I had to try. "Perhaps I can try online dating." I thought to myself. What easier way could there be to meet new people? I opened up my web browser and went to my favorite search engine. I entered the term "free online dating" and looked at the results.

"Hm.." I said as I browsed the list of sites. "Free Online Dating Network... That could be just what I'm looking for!" I clicked on the link and moments later I was browsing the site. This free online dating site had everything Iwas looking for. The best part was that it truly was FREE online dating... absolutely no monthly fee was required to use the site.

I started to browse the profiles. Some of the women were too fat, and others were too skinny. Some seemed too shallow, and others seemed too nerdy. Finally I happened upona profile of someone who seemed like a great catch. "Felicia.." I read out loud as I scanned through her profile. Could this girl be the one for me?

I read the rest of her information. She was a straight, tan-skinned 30-year old with auburn hair. She wasfairly tall and of an average build, neither obese nor malnourished. She said she wanted to meet someone nice and friendly; someone smart and funny. "That's me!"I thought vainly."That's it!" I exclaimed. "I have to set up my own profile on this site so that I can message this girl and meet her."

I didn't have any digital photographs or aweb cam. I realized that i would have to phone up a friend with a digital camera. I called my friend Troy and said "Hey pal, could you take a few photos of me with your digital camera? I want to set up a profile of myself online." "Oh, getting back in the dating game, huh?" Troy responded with a chortle. "Okay, I'll be right over." A half hour later my photos had been uploaded online.

I filled out my interests, activities, and personal information. Then came the moment of truth. I sent a message to Felicia. We continued to exchange messages for weeks. After alot of back and forth, I took the plunge. "Would you like to meet me for coffee, Felicia?" I messaged her.

"Absolutely." she responded moments later. "You see, although I have only known you several weeks Ifeel as though it has been an eternity. It would- how you say - tickle my fancyto meet you at long last." I was overjoyed at her response. I felt that once I met her in person we would be truly inseparable, and adore each other forever.
